Nigeria Women Premier League To Start Next Month

The Nigeria Women Premier League  will kickoff the 2017/18 season come April 7, 2018 according to Nigeria Women Football League.
The season calendar was drawn on Saturday, following the ratification of promoted sides, Taraba Queens, Sure Babes and Jokodolu Babes from the second tier Women Pro League.
The chairperson, Aisha Falode announced the commencement date and that the league will be sticking to its abridged format of eight teams in two groups.
Four-time winners Rivers Angels alongside Confluence Queens, Edo Queens, Sure Babes FC, Delta Queens, Taraba Queens, Bayelsa Queens and Ibom Angels were drawn in group A.
While Group B was composed of reigning champions Nasarawa Amazons, Adamawa Queens, Abia Angels, FC Robo, Jokodolu Babes, Sunshine Queens, Osun Babes FC and Pelican Stars.
Another decision reached was that of transfer, with two hundred thousand set for the topflight, and one hundred thousand for the second tier.
The deadline for the payment of registration fees is March 19, 2018 and the collection of licences on or before March 30, 2018.
