This time round, Prophet Oladipo made it
clear Mikel Obi and his teammates will
fly Nigeria's flag up to the last four in
Russia.
"Let me add this. I predicted that the
Super Eagles would qualify for the World
Cup. Now that the tournament is about to
start, they will surpass the highest stage
reached by any African team in the history
of the tournament," he added.
The Super Eagles will arrive Russia on
Monday, June, 11 as they begin their
quest in their sixth appearance at the
Mundial.
Gernot Rohr's side will be taking on
Croatia in their first match on June, 16,
then lock horns with Iceland on June, 22,
before tackling Argentina on June, 26.
The three-time African champions have
played five friendlies this year against
Poland, Serbia, DR Congo, England, and
the Czech Republic but have only
managed to win against the Robert
Lewandowski led side.
However, Rohr has come out to defend
his boys saying that his team should not
be judged with the friendly matches.
The German tactician stressed that the
warm up matches are dress rehearsals
for the tournament proper.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported
Nigerian fan were angry at the Super
Eagles performance in their final pre-
World Cup friendly against the Czech
Republic .
The Green and White men lost by a 1-0 as
the supporters lashed out on the way the
team played on social media.
