Croatia stars including Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic and Mario Mandzukic train ahead of facing France in their country's first ever World Cup final
Croatia made the World Cup final for the
first time in their history by beating England, and Zlatko Dalic's side
are now fully focused on winning the prestigious trophy.
On Sunday at the Luzhniki Stadium Croatia will take on France, who got to the final by prevailing past Belgium, and Dalic put his squad through their paces in training on Friday.
Although
not many tipped Croatia to reach this stage, there are some very
talented players in their squad, including Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic and
Mario Mandzukic, with the latter having scored the winner against
England.
Croatia managed to beat Nigeria, Argentina
and Iceland in the group stages before overcoming Denmark on penalties
in the last-16.
They also required spot-kicks to get the better of hosts Russia in the quarter-finals prior to their 2-1 win against England.
France
will certainly be the favourites going into the final, but Croatia have
already demonstrated during this tournament that they are capable of
upsetting the odds.
