Manchester United Keen On Signing Lucas Hernandez From Atletico Madrid

Manchester United are keen on a move to sign Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez, according to reports in the French media.

French outlet France Football, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Red Devils are among the clubs interested in signing the defender in January as Jose Mourinho continues his search for a new centre-half.
Manchester United were strongly linked with a move to sign a new defender in the summer transfer window but a switch failed to materialise.
The Red Devils have since made a stuttering start to the new Premier League season, with Mourinho’s men having lost two of their opening four top flight games.
The same report says that both Real Madrid and Manchester United are among the clubs keen on signing the 22-year-old, and that the defender’s £72m release clause is not putting off either club.
Hernandez was in fine form as he made 12 appearances for World Cup-winners France in Russia this summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will return to Premier League action after the international break when they travel to Watford in the top flight.
The Red Devils are currently six points off the Premier League pace-setters Liverpool FC after four games.
