Neymar was aimed by various types of objects by Marseille fans during the match between the french giants, Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille which ended up a victory for the Saint Germans at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday evening.
The 26-year-old complained of bottles, coins and even baguettes being hurled at him by yobs as he waited to take corners.
Julian Draxler and Kylian Mbappe both got on the score-sheet in a 2-0 win to make it 11 straight Ligue 1 victories for Thomas Tuchel’s men.
Despite the record-breaking result, the game was overshadowed somewhat by the coin-throwing incident by fans.
In his two seasons in France, the Brazil international has had objects thrown at him from the crowd whilst trying to exhibit his usual showboating style.
Last season, he saw red after being targeted by the vociferous home crowd.
He said at the time: “The supporters threw a lot of things at me, even baguettes. It was too much, that’s not football.”
Next up, PSG host second-placed Lille on Friday night, with a trip to Napoli in the Champions League following four days later.
