But ESPN claim Suarez has no plans to leave Spain regardless of Barcelona’s position. Suarez has been on the sidelines in Ernesto Valverde’s regime, playing just 90 minutes so far this season. The midfielder is frustrated with his playing time, but is not looking to leave the club in January.
There have been enquiries about Suarez, but the Spaniard feels it is best to remain at Barcelona at least until the summer. An injury during pre-season derailed Suarez’s attempts to become a regular starter, and his wait for his start in La Liga this season goes on. Valverde overlooked Suarez again in Barcelona’s last game, which ended in a 4-3 defeat to Real Betis.
Suarez made the bench for the La Liga clash, but Valverde called on Arturo Vidal, Munir El Haddadi and Carles Alena to try and rescue a victory. Arsenal are not expected to make any major additions in January, although there could be a significant sale. Aaron Ramsey could leave the club with his contract scheduled to expire next summer and several clubs vying for his signature.
