After lifting the Premier League title on his return to Chelsea in 2014/15, everything seems to have gone wrong for the 'Special One'.
The Blues sacked Mourinho in December 2015 following a disastrous run of results.
Manchester United then brought Mourinho in during the summer of 2016, but his time at Old Trafford will not be remembered fondly.
He won the Europa League and Carabao Cup in 2016/17 and even finished second in the Premier League in 2017/18, but there were so many negatives along the way.
Mourinho's defensive tactics and public clashes with players during his reign finally culminated in his demise just before the festive period this year.
United opted to sack the Portuguese after a dismal 3-1 loss away at Liverpool and have looked a different side under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, despite his failings with the Red Devils, Mourinho is still in contention for arguably the biggest job in world football as manager of Real Madrid.
Mourinho took charge of Los Blancos back in 2010, before leaving by 'mutual agreement' at the end of the 2012/13 season.
Florentino Perez is still a known fan of the 55-year-old and Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar has reported that the two have already been in contact.
And Aguilar states that Mourinho has already issued his two demands to become the new Real Madrid boss.
