Philippe Coutinho is 'tempted by Manchester United' as he becomes increasingly unhappy with his prolonged spells on the bench at Barcelona

But while United have made interest clear to the player's agency, Coutinho is said to have no desire to leave the Nou Camp in January, having 'worked so hard to secure the move' from Liverpool.
According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Coutinho, who has been left out of the starting XI in each of Barcelona's last four league matches, is believed to be growing increasingly unhappy with his marginalised role having lost his spot to Ousmane Dembele.

Coutinho became the club's most expensive signing in history when he swapped Merseyside for Barcelona but it has not all gone to plan for the club or the player.
The Spanish giants parted with £145million to prise Coutinho away from Anfield, in the same season the Reds went on to reach the Champions League final.
Coutinho is willing to wait out the current troublesome spell, the report adds, and will not look to give up his dream of becoming a Barca success story just yet.
When he has come into the side he has been keen to impress boss Ernesto Valverde and he played a decisive role in the Copa del Rey first leg against Levante on Thursday

A late penalty kept the La Liga giants in the contest ahead of the return leg as they stared a 2-0 first-leg loss in the face.
Family ties also play a role in the situation, with Coutinho and his partner Aine recently welcoming their second daughter into the world in Barcelona.
The pair are also said to be enjoying living in Castelldefels.
Coutinho instantly won silverware upon his move last season, joining up with a Barca side who were well in front in the race for the La Liga title.
This time around they again top the table, sitting five points clear of Atletico Madrid at the summit after 18 matches played.
