Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez has reportedly had a verbal agreement with Arsenal manager Unai Emery over a transfer to the Emirates Stadium this January.
The Spain international has struggled for first-team football at Barca but could fill a key role in Emery’s side, who look a little light in midfield.

Capable of playing centrally or out wide, Suarez seems an ideal replacement for Aaron Ramsey as he nears the end of his contract with the Gunners.

The latest from Sport is that the 25-year-old himself has said yes to a move to north London after talks with Emery, who managed him at Sevilla.
The Catalan publication goes on to explain that it is now down to the two clubs to agree a fee, with talks set to proceed in the coming days.

Arsenal need to get this signing done quickly as another priority for them this January will surely be a new signing in defence.
Summer buys Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Stephan Lichtsteiner have not really looked at all convincing since joining, while Shkodran Mustafi has also been something of a weak point in the team for a few years now.
