Manchester United are prepared to battle Barcelona to land £60 million Chelsea winger Willian, according to the Sun .
Jose Mourinho, who coached Willian at Chelsea, thinks the Brazil winger could provide the spark in attack which seems to be lacking since the manager lost trust in Anthony Martial.
With Brazil now out of the World Cup, it is believed Willian is now willing to discuss his club future, although not clear and n where he'd be heading to.
Willian has stayed put for now, but he concedes that the opportunity to join a Liga heavyweight would be difficult for any ambitious player to turn down.
The Brazil international told UOL: in early February “They are the two biggest clubs in the world [Real and Barcelona], they are the clubs with the most visibility, it is everybody’s dream.
“Of course there are other big clubs, there are Bayern, PSG, but these two are different.”
The clock is ticking on Willian being offered the opportunity to live that dream, while he remains under contract at Chelsea until 2020.
Barcelona is actually offering him a chance to implement that dream, so there is a slight opportunity that he might turn down the reds in a step up to the Nou Camp. Although not yet decided, but the amount the clubs are willing to offer can also be tempting and will be tantamount to who the blues give him out to.
His next move could, therefore, take him in a completely different direction, with there another career step he plans to take before hanging up his boots.
Until that, let's watch and enjoy the drammer between the two clubs set for the chase..
